Why We Slow Brew Instead of Juice

When people first try our Blend’d Concentrates, one of the most common questions we hear is:

“Is it a juice?”

The answer is simple: No, it’s a slow-brewed tonic.

While both juices and tonics can contain similar ingredients, the way they are made is very different.

The Difference Between Juicing and Brewing

Juicing typically involves extracting liquid directly from fruits and vegetables. The ingredients are pressed, and the juice is bottled for consumption.

Brewing is a slower process.

Our Blend’d Concentrates are made by steeping fresh ingredients such as turmeric, ginger, tamarind, citrus etc in water, allowing extraction and to infuse into the brew.

This traditional-inspired process creates a concentrated blend.

Inspired by Traditional Jamu

Jamu has been enjoyed throughout Indonesia for generations. Traditionally, roots, spices and herbs were prepared into drinks that became part of daily life.

Many traditional Jamu recipes involve heating, simmering or brewing ingredients rather than simply juicing them.

Our Original Blend takes inspiration from these traditional methods while using modern production techniques to ensure consistency and quality.

Real Ingredients, No Shortcuts

At MR Originals, we believe great products start with great ingredients.

That’s why we use whole QLD farmed turmeric, ginger, lemons and black pepper rather than relying on powdered blends or concentrates.

Every batch is brewed using real ingredients, giving each bottle its authentic flavour profile.

Why Taste Can Vary

Because we use fresh ingredients, every harvest is slightly different.

Turmeric may be darker or lighter.
Ginger may be stronger or milder.
Lemons may be sweeter or more tart.

Just like a good coffee or a quality wine, seasonal variations are part of working with nature.

That’s one of the reasons our customers appreciate that each batch is made from real ingredients rather than artificial flavourings.

A Concentrated Daily Tonic

Blend’d isn’t designed to be consumed like a soft drink or juice.

Many customers enjoy around 50-100ml daily as part of their routine.

Others add it to sparkling water, smoothies or warm water with honey.

The concentrated nature of the brew means a little goes a long way.

From Brew to Bottle

Every bottle of Blend’d begins with a brewing process, real ingredients and a commitment to traditional-inspired methods.

It’s not a juice.

It’s a blend'd tonic concentrate, crafted in Queensland and inspired by generations of herbal traditions.

That’s the Blend’d difference.
